When your trailer’s ride height starts to sag or the suspension feels soft, this spring brings it back to spec. The 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring is built for an 8,000-lb axle and carries 4,000 lbs per spring. Each of its seven 3/8" thick steel leaves flex together to take the load evenly, resisting shock while keeping the trailer level and stable. It’s a direct replacement for worn or flattened springs that have lost their arch and strength.
This spring’s double-eye design allows it to move naturally with the road. The 24-7/8" eye-to-eye length gives consistent travel, and the flex in the leaf stack keeps your trailer from bouncing or jolting over uneven pavement. The result is a smoother, quieter ride that protects your gear and reduces wear on other suspension parts.
Built to hold up under demanding use, the spring’s steel construction resists fatigue and corrosion. Each spring includes nylon bushings with a 9/16" inner diameter for smooth articulation at the mounting points. The 1-3/4" wide leaf pack distributes weight evenly across the axle, maintaining proper alignment and reducing stress on shackles and hangers.
The spring measures 24-7/8" from center eye to center eye (unloaded) and 1-3/4" wide, with 11/16" eye diameters when the bushings are removed. One end mounts directly to a hanger, and the other connects to shackle straps or an equalizer for proper suspension travel. Replace springs in pairs to keep the axle geometry aligned and restore even ride height across the trailer.

Great spring! Doing very well year into it.
I forgot to as about u bolts and left a message and no one return my call. Can't believe that they did not come with u bolts but we got them installed.

I called ETRAILER about there measurements online on this spring, asked them to remeasure the height of the spring from the leaf pack to the center of the eyelets, twice I was told the measurements were correct by two different people, I disagreed and ordered 1 for myself just to see, yes the measurements are wrong, the D measurement should be 3-3/4" not 1-3/4" I will be ordering more soon to complete my order and will be calling them again to hopefully change this measurement
Made in China, so now I'm hoping they hold up better than my 7K springs did. They also come with plastic bushings, so have to order bronze separately. Size as advertised.
I ordered four 4000# leaf springs and two sets of 4 brass bushings. The shipment arrived and the box was torn up. I opened the box to find 3 leaf springs and 1 set of bushings. I called etrailer and they shipped me the missing leaf spring and bushing set. I asked if they could overnight the items so that I could do the work as planned over a holiday weekend. They said that was not possible. So now I can only do one axle over the weekend. When I got to work I found 1 of the 4 bushings was damaged. I suppose it was smashed by one of the leaf springs. Now I will also have to order another set of bushings to replace the nylon bushing that I was forced to use. The leaf springs were already rusty so I assume the box sat in the rain somewhere. Initially I was blaming the shipper but the more I though about it, the problem is with etrailer. Who ships four 25lb+ leaf springs (loose, not even wired together) in a cardboard box with brass bushings? At a minimum the leaf springs should have been bound together, wrapped in plastic and packed in it's own box or even better wooden crate. This is the second item that I have received from Etrailer damaged. I I have bought all my trailer parts from etrailer over the years but now I will shop other stores.
Disappointed the leaf spring on a 8000 lb axle would have nylon bushings.
The brass bushings in the broken spring I removed were shot. I don't expect the nylon to last long.
Quality parts designed better than OEM, on time/early, no excuses!!
Box was damaged but the bushings didn't fall out the hole made by the springs. I've ordered a 2nd set and they were packed better and box was in great shape.

I was told over the phone that these were dexter springs and made in America. They say made in China right on them. I also asked about equalizers and the person on the phone couldn’t help me. Not her fault she didn’t really have information.

Great spring pack has been serving us well! We use our fifth wheel full-time and these springs are still looking great a year later.

The Leaf Springs arrived very fast and worked great.
It was great working with Odelia. Was glad to find the 8000lb. leaf springs for my 2017 Solitude fifth wheel rv. The shipping was great and arrived in 2 days with 2 left springs per box. Can't wait to get installed.
My 3500lb leaf springs have failed for the second time so I upgraded to 4000lb springs, I had just upgraded my suspension with the CRE 3000 and wet bolt kit and along with the disc brake conversion I did last year so with the help from etrailer we are ready to put so more comfortable miles behind us. You can always count on the techs from etrailer to get you your parts and fix any mishaps that may come. Thanks etrailer.
This was a direct replacement for the spring that broke. It was relatively simple to install, as long as you have the jacks and tools needed.

This 8000# axle leaf spring is one of seven. Six of them on the trailer, and one as a spare. I upgraded from the 7000# leaf spring to the 8000# leaf spring. Keeps my 18,0000lb toyhauler from sagging. A great upgrade. Also might consider the upgrade on wet bolts and thicker shackles. You won't regret it.
Springs are perfect and delivered quickly. The packaging did not fare well in shipment and shipper had taped the box back together the best they could. All parts are in fine shape with no damage.

Fyi: I discovered my my recently purchased Dexter leaf spring for 8000# axles is made in CHINA. So disappointed! etrailer did a great job with ship and delivery. Their ad 360 view photos conveniently blurred the China reference. Dexter touts USA made. Don’t be fooled as I was. Know what you’re getting.
